The New Cat House Cats

I wrote about the Cat House cats in 2007. In their time as the Cat House “shop cats,” Buddy Guy and Lesley Anne had their “moments of fame, glory and excitement” that included being written up a CATS magazine article about honeysuckle, immortalized in artwork, Christmas cards and a line of stationery and they were also featured in television segments about how to safely let your indoor cats outside, how to keep your indoor cats entertained and on videos for cats.

Their other “moments of fame, glory and excitement” included being featured in newspaper articles about Christmas gifts for your cat, and a newspaper business profile of the Cat House, and one of the “shop cats” even dressed up in his “cow cat” costume to pose for a fundraising shirt for the Cochrane Humane Society and he also had his own business “calling card.”

There have since been two new Cat House “shop cats” that have arrived on the scene: a Maine Coon look-alike by the name of Margarita, that has been at the Cat House since March 2007, shortly after Lesley Anne crossed the “Rainbow Bridge” due to a stroke; and a brown tabby by the name of Gabriel since May 2007, shortly after Buddy Guy crossed the “Rainbow Bridge” due to cancer. They have continued in their predecessor’s footsteps and have been on television segments in local Canadian news programmes.
