Beware of the Cat!

Kirkwood SPCA visited the Lifecare centre for physically and mentally disabled people (of all ages). Most of these people had never seen a dog before so, off we went to let them play with our most docile doggies (a rottweiler and a labrador). All went well until the 'leader' of the feral colony spied the 'intruders'!!!! I had my hands full trying to keep the attacking feline away from the labrador (who had no idea what had just hit him) AND take a photo of the bushy tailed lady!! Please excuse the quality of the pics but I was laughing so much, it was difficult to focus the camera.

There are over 100 cats at the Lifecare Centre and, in the short while that we were there, we spotted at least three Norwegian Forest crossbreeds, about 6 Maine Coon crossbreeds, a persian crossbreed and, a torti point siamese crossbreed kitten (who took me out when I tried to catch it). We have delivered cages to the Centre and the staff are going to start trapping for us so we can spay and neuter. We also dropped off about 30 kg's of catfood. There is one mentally disabled old lady who adores the cats and is very proud of her colony of felines. It took some doing to explain to her that those we take away, will be brought back to her the next day.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the pic of the bushy tailed 'lady' and those of the 'patients' with the dogs.
