• The Balinese and the Russian:
We feature two unusual breeds in this issue.
The bewitching Balinese is the longer haired cousin of the Siamese cat. These graceful cats have deep-blue almond eyes and a plumed tail. The short-haired Russian on the other hand is usually blue-grey in colour with startling emerald green eyes.

• Melanie Lowe and her Cats:
Singer Melanie Lowe has become a household name since being in the 2002 Idols Competition and we interviewed her about her passion for her two cats and the release of her new CD. Melanie and her cat Gypsy grace our front cover.

• The Harry Potter Cat:
Argus Filch and his cat Mrs Norris patrol the dark corridors of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the famous Harry Potter movies. We take a behind the scenes look at how a Maine Coon called Pebbles was chosen to play the role of Mrs Norris as well as the training and preparation involved in being this feline star!
